Teams

British Riding Clubs arrange annual championships both nationally and locally. The club is always looking for individuals to represent us at Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Riding Tests and Equitation Jumping.

If you are interested in competing either as a team member or individual at any level please contact our Team Managers - Rebecca Hill and Sophie Baker for SJ or XC and Vicki Nugent for Dressage. 

Although we text and email all members ahead of events to make up teams, please do come forward and contact the team managers if you are interested in certain events. It is much easier if we know who wants to compete and in which disciplines. 

For many of the competitions we have to send pre-entries to Stoneleigh quite some time in advance of the qualifiers and the Team Managers need to know as early as possible if people wish to compete. We also try and give as much information in our newsletter as possible.

Points to remember if you wish to represent the club:-

• Your horse must have an up to date vaccination certificate to compete at qualifiers and championships, including the initial series of vaccinations. If you are unsure ask one of the committee to check yours.
  
• If you or your horse have winnings at BSJA, British Dressage points or British Eventing points you may be over qualified for some of the classes - again please check with a member of the committee if you are unsure.
  
• You must have your own transport to competitions - although we may be able to put you in touch with someone else travelling to a competition it is your responsibility to get you and your horse to the venue.

CDRC pay for pre-entries to Stoneleigh but expect members to pay their own entry fees for qualifiers. If a team or individual qualifies for the championships the club will pay entry fees to the Championships and help towards the cost of travel and stabling.
