Team Endurance

Team Endurance Event
hosted and organised by ENDURANCE GB

What’s it all about?

Endurance GB will be hosting and organising a series of qualifying team endurance rides that will culminate in a final competition. This Team Event is an opportunity for you to come along and try endurance riding in the company of your friends and club members.

How many on a team?

Teams can be made up of three to six riders.

Are there any special requirements?

You don’t need any special equipment, particular breed or type of horse to get started, just you, your horse and your normal riding tack.

How long is the course?

Qualifying rides are about 32km (20 miles) and are in beautiful areas of the country, very often over private land. There are 12 qualifying rides in all, with at least one in each of the Sport England Regions.

Where is the final?

The Final will be held in September at Southwell Racecourse in Nottinghamshire, where the finalists will have the opportunity to complete the competition by riding down the all weather track to the finish line.

How do I get involved?

Some Chobham club members have expressed an interest in creating a team already so if you would like to join in, please let one of the committee members know and we can set up an initial meeting to discuss.

Alternatively, if you wish to set up you own team, details of your nearest Qualifier, the rules of the competition, how to enter and some tips on how to prepare for the event, are available on the endurance GB website - www.rcteamevent.endurancegb.co.uk
